56. WANN IST EIN MANN EIN MANN?

Noch immer ist Dougs Gewerkschaft im Streik, und langsam schlägt im seine Untätigkeit aufs Gemüt. Er geht Carrie gehörig auf die Nerven, will aber auch nicht über seine Probleme reden. Doug wendet sich an seine Schwester Stephanie, die als Sportlehrerin arbeitet. Sie besorgt ihm an ihrer Schule einen Job als Hilfslehrer, den Doug begeistert annimmt. Carrie reagiert distanziert auf Dougs Enthusiasmus, und auch mit Arthur gibt es Stress. Gleich die erste Schulstunde gerät zum Fiasko. Dougs Bemühungen scheitern, und er macht sich nur lächerlich. Als Doug einen Wutanfall bekommt, wird er prompt gefeuert. Endlich spricht er sich mit Carrie aus.

Auch in dieser Folge gibt's einige Lacher. Meine absolute Lieblingsszene:

Wie Doug als Hilfslehrer hochmotiviert und tatendurstig, aufgeregt und redselig ins Lehrerzimmer kommt und die Kollegen und Kolleginnen dort mit theoretischen Gemeinplätzen zuquasselt, bis er "freundlich" zurechtgewiesen wird:
"Jetzt halten sie die Klappe."

Und sein Gesichtsausdruck danach... smile
