46. Big Dougie
46. DER PATENBRUDER

Doug will es Deacon gleichtun und "adoptiert" einen kleinen Bruder. Doch so richtig will es zwischen den "Brüdern" nicht funken.

Zufällig erfährt Doug, dass Deacon einen "Patenbruder" hat. Das heisst, er kümmert sich einmal wöchentlich ehrenamtlich wie ein grosser Bruder um einen Jungen. Doug bekommt ein schlechtes Gewissen und hält sich für nutzlos. Also beschliesst er, auch eine solche Patenschaft zu übernehmen. Doch sein "kleiner Bruder" scheint keinen Sinn für Dougs sehr speziellen Charme zu haben. Bereits nach dem ersten Treffen möchte Doug sein Amt am liebsten wieder aufgeben. Doch als Deacon mit seinem Schützling an einem 10-Kilometerlauf zugunsten Herzkranker teilnimmt, ist Dougs Ehrgeiz angestachelt. Doug läuft und läuft – bis er liegen bleibt. In dieser Situation zeigt sich, dass sein kleiner Bruder ihn doch ganz gerne mag.

ich auch erst 2 mal, aber ich find sie nicht so gut.
Aber die Szene, in der Doug mit dem fremden Jungen am spielen ist und sein Patenbruder nur dumm rumsteht, find ich geil mrgreen

joa, versteh ich auch nciht, vielleicht hat es gerade seine eltern verloren oder so, man weiß es nicht. Aber der patenbruder von deacon is cool, mit so einem müsste doug mal rum hängen das würd ihm bestimmt spaß bringen mrgreen

Einer meiner Lieblingsdialoge aus dieser Folge ist der zwischen Doug und Carrie, als er überlegt, Patenbruder zu werden.

Doug: "Wir haben doch alles, oder? Tische, Regale, halbe Schalen an der Wand... Das könnte eine Reisschüssel für Hungernde sein!"

Carrie: "Das ist eine Wandlampe."

Doug: " Trotzdem könnte jemand draus essen, oder? Aber nein, ich brauche mein Licht!"

Oder:

Doug: "Hältst du für mich für einen nutzlosen Fettkloß?"

Carrie: "Wieso, hast du mein Tagebuch gelesen?"
( mrgreen )

Doug: "Nein, aber Deacon hat mir heute erzählt, dass er Patenbruder ist."

Carrie: "Ein Mafioso? Ist ja ein Ding..."



Doug: "Ich schaff' das schon, wenn es sein muss, rutsche ich die letzten Meter auf meinen Brustwarzen."


Carrie: "Du hast es noch nie geschafft, einen Stuhl ohne Pause die Treppe hoch zutragen."
